Vacation Bible School

This year we missed our church VBS because of our trip to Tahiti.  So, we took the kids to one of our favorite churches close-by. They have such a heart for outreach AND for children.  It is the church that taught Maddy her dance classes....so it was nice to have so many familiar faces.  Maddy and Drew had SO much fun.  The funniest part of the week (for Austin and I) was that Drew came home talking about a girl named Delaney.  In Drew's short life, he has been "in love" with Natalie, Macy, Emily and now a Delaney! Now, you may ask what these girls all have in common?  He has "fallen in love" with older women.....all beautiful teenagers!  Austin and I worry about HIM in his teenage years....
The kids favorite day at VBS was crazy hair day.....and they had the best time at the VBS celebration night.  Maddy and Drew got to ride a horse for the 1st time.  The kids had fun with all the games and festivities that evening.  Here are  a few pictures from crazy hair day and the VBS celebration night.
Drew with a "Mohawk" for crazy hair day!
Maddy's crazy hair!
This picture cracks me up!
The cutest kids with crazy hair!:)
The last day of VBS wasn't crazy hair day....but Jack must not have gotten the memo.
Delaney, the new love of Drew's life!:)
Maddy's 1st time horseback riding.
Love this picture!
Drew wanted Natalie's horse.  His first true love!:)
We all love Natalie so much!
Drew is so cute...he actually gets nervous and shy around Natalie...it starts at an early age!
Maddy loves Mary!  She is so sweet and was Maddy's 1st dance teacher.
I love this picture....because they put Austin to work!:)
They had so much fun!!
The theme was Saddle Ranch, so a lot of the kids dressed in cute cowboy boots.  Well, Maddy doesn't have any so she insisted on wearing the closest thing to it.......her Ugg boots that I got at a garage sale.  Nothing better than wearing wool Uggs in the middle of the summer!  You can see it in the video!:)  It was so sweet hearing the kids sing so many songs!  It was a great week!
