We are home at last! We went to Clearwater, Florida this past week with my family. We had some great times and we had some difficult times (Maddy Meltdowns).
We had to leave our house at 3:45 am in order to make our flight to Florida. I was hoping Maddy would go back to sleep or take a good nap sometime throughout the day, but no such luck. So, Maddy had a hard adjustment...due to her lack of sleep. She kept saying "Home...Night-night" and had several melt downs. But after a few days, she was back to her "normal" self. This trip definitely confirmed that Maddy is a girl who likes routine.
On the other hand, Andrew was laid back and a great traveler. He did so well! Traveling with Andrew got a little tricky because everything went around his eating schedule and I didn't want him to be exposed to the hot Florida sun! But he adjusted well and I am so thankful for his laid back disposition.
On Sunday I got to meet my friend Lesley and Sam who now live in Venice, Florida. We had a great time catching up and playing at the pool.
Nolan and Maddy had a great time playing together at the beach, in the condo and at the pool. On the first day, Maddy was a little scared of the ocean, the sand and the pool. Each day got much better and by the end of the week, we had to pull her away from the sand and the pool!:)
Here are a few pictures from our trip. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying time with family.
