Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. The weekend started with an Easter egg hunt for Maddy. Her first one! We have been practicing with eggs around the house for the last few weeks. It started with us hiding the eggs....but after a while she discovered she could hide the eggs (typically the same spots we hid them), but the advantage was that she could find them much quicker if she hid them!! And the funny part is she would act surprise and say "Here it is!"
Well, the Easter egg hunt was a success. She had a blast picking up the eggs and putting it in her basket. But the problem was that once the egg hunt was over, she did what she has been doing at home. She started to hide the eggs in the spots that she picked them up in the yard!!:) Other kids started to pick up the eggs that Maddy "hid" again. It was pretty funny.
Another funny thing that happened at the end of the egg hunt was that she looked down at her white shoes and noticed that there was mud all over her shoes. She started to cry in distress and yelled "Shoes! Dirty!" (over and over again). I would have never expected the shoe fetish to begin at such an early age. She seriously was crying until we got in the car and took her shoes off. Such drama!!

Saturday morning we had my (Jamie) family over for a brunch. All the food was delicious! We had a small egg hunt at my house for Nolan and Maddy. We hid tons of eggs....the problem was Maddy found one of the five "big" eggs in the beginning so she refused to pick up the small eggs (which was the majority of the eggs we hid). And Nolan was not interested in finding the eggs!! Well, after a while we called the egg hunt to an end and Tammy, Naomi and I just picked up the eggs for them!! Nolan and Maddy enjoyed opening the eggs to find fruit snacks, raisins and Kix! Poor Andrew slept through most of the events this weekend!

Saturday night we went to Austin's parents house and spent time with the family. Relaxing and watching the kids run around. Then Sunday we went to church and in the evening we went to a restaurant with Austin's family.

We had a wonderful time with family this Easter. It was fun to watch Maddy go Easter egg hunting and to watch her with all her nieces and nephews. Andrew is still doing great. He is still sleeping through the night! YEAH! And this weekend he laughed/giggled for about 5 minutes straight when my mom spoke to him. He loves his grandmas!! I had so many great pictures from Easter. It was hard picking my favorite ones!:) Here are a few more.
